So all the main Call of Duty games are available on PC and Steam if you are a collector or simply want to get the titles from CoD 1 to WWII. But one game is oddly missing, Call of Duty 3, and I"d like if people have any info why? I"m sure Activision has some ♥♥♥♥ excuse like the old, almost meme-worthy "they lost the source code", but beside simply emulating or porting it, what are the reason why CoD 3 is not available and do you think it"ll eventually change?
It was purely for console, which you already know. But I think it was probably one of the Call of Duty"s that Activion would want to forget about, it wasn"t that great of a game, same goes for Call of Duty 2 Big Red One (also Console only).You never know though, they might do some re-mastered versions of them. Both those titles were made by Treyarch (WaW, Black Ops 1, 2 and 3), they may do a release like COD4 re-mastered, however it"s going to be a while until Treyarch release another COD title (Nov 2018).You could have a ratch around for a PS3 Emulator and find the game for the PS3 Emulator.
you are forgetting a few more cods that are console exclusive: call of duty: finest hour, call of duty 2: big red one, (the one General Hopper just mentioned.) and call of duty world at war: final fronts, (completely exclusive to the ps2.) but cod 1: united offensive NEVER came to consoles, meaning its the only pc exclusive cod, (not counting cod online) sure, cod 1 did get released to consoles in the 2009 re-release: call of duty classic, but united offensive never got re-released even though they had the option to when making call of duty classic, i think we should be wondering: will cod 1: united offensive ever make it to consoles? and yes, same thing for the console exclusives, everybody should have everything.

I"m saying all main/cannon CoD games are on PC, except for the CoD 3.The games you mentioned, although it"s be good to have them on PC, are merely spin-offs.It"s weird and frustrating to have Call of Duty 1, United Offensive, 2, WAW, MW 1, MW 2, MW3, BO 1, BO 2, BO 3, Advanced, Infinite, Ghost and WWII but not...Call of Duty 3.
